Online Language Learning Logo Design

Located in West Hollywood, Californina, Lingua Edge is an Online language learning (mainly English as a Second Language) and English language teacher training company. Courses are offered as self-paced or live through virtual classroom environment.

Target Market

Language learners both here in the United States and overseas. Our secondary market is for English teachers who need a teaching certificate to enhance credentials or to teach overseas.

Client Requirement

The client really did not have any ideas on what they wanted from their logo. They simply said “Should emphasize training/education, but nothing too heavy or “institutional”".

Initial Concepts

Because we did not have any direction or input from the client we had to do a lot of research into the specific online language learning industry and the competition and came up with these initial concepts:

Final Logo Design Concept

The client liked #1 with the speech bubble at the end, and the font in #4. The client wanted “LinguaEdge” in the actual speech bubble. So we incorporated the company name inside a speech bubble resulting in a simply and quite “Web 2.0″ kind of logo.

Filed under: Daily Logo — Mallesh Bonigala @ 11:48 am

Black Hawks Construction Logo Design

Located in London, UK, Black Hawks Construction company is a building and maitance company mainly involved with loft conversions, ground floor extensions, refurbishment work , basement dig outs, fitting bathrooms and kitchens etc.

Target Market

All types of domestic and commecial buildings, contractors and the general public.

Client Requirement

The client wanted to have an icon that represented a hawk. They were keen to get a logo that stood out from the rest of the constrcution industry in and around London. The client started off by requesting an illustrative image of a hawk in black. However after some research we sugested that perhaps it would better to have a line art based icon rather than a literal one with too muc detail. Since they have a work force with uniforms and they also wanted to brand their vehicles.

Final Logo Design Concept

Among 5 initial logo concepts that we presented the above was selected as the final design. Using the freeflowing brush strokes the image of a hawk with it’s wings spread was crafted. Using a banner shape to enclose the name, te overall logo has a nice flow to it creating a sense of movement and energy.

Filed under: Daily Logo — Mallesh Bonigala @ 4:38 pm

Assured Vacation Rental Logo Design

Located in Elyria, Ohio, Assured Vacation Rentals connects vacation home renters with people looking to rent homes for vacations in the US. AVR differentiates itself from others in the industry by providing more rental information than other sites and several value added services for owners and renters alike.

Also, different from most existing vacation rental sites, AVR provides a secure process for the delivery of rental deposits.

Target Market

Vacation rental home owners and people looking to rent homes for vacations. Likely targeting women more so than men as the women often tend to make vaction destination decisions, buying decisions, etc.

Client Requirement

“We want to convey trust and comfort. While vacations are often about going to a warm sunny place, we do not want to completely disinclude the ideas of skiing, fishing, etc. A vacation is about comfort. Escaping the day to day.”

Final Logo Design Concept

Using the glossy style of Web 2.0 logos, the image of a house along with backdrop of various scenes was created. By using the image of a beach and a mountain we tried to communicate that the business covers a whole spectrum of locations.

Client Testimonial

Working with the team at Logo Design Works in creating a fresh and new identity for our 30 year anniversary was nothing short of amazing. We came with a unique situation and they hit the ball out of the park. Jeff Marsh took the lead as a straight shooter and provided solutions instead of problems while getting the project to the right person.

Everything was delivered on schedule. Andrew and Jeff are design pros. Their use of color and perception was great and their ability to absorb ideas and produce a logo that captured the essence of our business was true artistry. You guys have re-engized our team.

THANKS AGAIN!
