Steven Spielberg, film producers Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall, started Amblin Entertainment in 1981. Amblin produces a lot of films but does not distribute them. Instead it relies on DreamWorks, Universal and Warner Bros to distributes it’s films. Besides the iconic file E.T (Extraterrestrial) in 1982, Amblin Entertainment produced some of my favourite films including the Back to the future trilogy, Jurassic park trilogy, Awesome Schindler’s list and Saving Private Ryan.
The Amblin media logo design is a simple iconic logo that shows the silhouette of E.T. riding in the basket on Elliot’s bicycle flying in front of the moon from the movie, E.T.
I like this logo because of the iconic image of E.T riding a bicycle in front of the moon. I watched the movie as a kid and that image has been etched in my brain. To this day, when I see Amblin’s logo, it brings back memories of my child hood, the movies we used to watch (especially Back To The Future which I had probably watched over 200 times) and my friends with whom I have lost touch but do think of them once in a while.
