This year, Logo Design Works proudly celebrates it’s 10 year Anniversary! Started in 1998/99 as a two man company, based out of our garage, Logo Design Works has become a leading online logo design service firm.
Even though the name and the domain were not formalized till 2002, Logo Design Works’ CEO, Mallesh Bonigala had started a design/branding company in 1998 along with a friend to provide local small companies an affordable graphic design service.
Logo design became a huge part of the projects that the company, then called Design Works, was undertaking. By 2000 a few more partners joined the company and the team decided to go online.
Internet based design services, specifically logo design services, were not common place back in 2000 and there were perhaps two or three genuine logo design companies online. The team secured a domain (GreenIguanaLogos) and launched a website. The team then decided to experiment with a few reseller programs to help them get online and into the search results. However, by 2001/02, things were not going according to plan and Mallesh decided to change the approach and re-brand the company. LogoDesignWorks.com was secured and a brand new website with new services, pricing model and content was launched. There was no turning back.
After 10 years of servicing the logo design industry and working with thousands of clients from around the world, Logo Design Works today, can boast of being one of the genuine online logo design companies that delivers high quality logo design and brand services at affordable rates. Customer service has become a major USP with direct phone access to the designers.
Starting 2009, Logo Design Works has undergone a major transformation in terms of re-branding and website face lift. Logo Design Works is also recruiting highly talented designers and professionals from the logo design industry.

Logodesignworks is my go-to stop when I’m trying to find some inspiration for drawing any sort of simple, effective, and meaningful design. In fact, I stumbled upon the blog when I was in the process of helping my company create our first logo.
Do you think that it is a good thing or a bad thing when a companies logo changes very quickly over a short period of time?

Thank you for your kind words.
It really depends on how much of brand recall the company already has. If the company logo has been used effectively in previous campaigns and the target audience is starting or has already recognized it, then changing the design frequently could mean the loss of the value gained for the logo.
But if a change is required because of changes with in the company, be it company philosophy or product/service direction change, then you should not be afraid to go for a redesign.
Now, how much you redesign would be the important question.
