Super Bowl XLIII Logo Revealed

Just to show how excessively excited the officials of Tampa Bay are when it comes to football, the official logo design of Super Bowl XLIII is unveiled to the public even though it’s still a year away.

Aside from Pasadena (California), New Orleans and Miami, Tampa is one of the four lucky cities to host more than 3 Super Bowls – 1984, 1991 and 2001. The city owes this to its “great community support, the volunteers, the corporate sponsorships and the hospitality”.

Unfortunately, its new logo pale in comparison with other Super Bowl logos. Some say it lacks the so-called Florida feel while others feel it is quite boring for something as big as Super Bowl. Perhaps the organizers should have taken more time developing a more decent logo to capture the electrifying spirit of this prestigious event.

More than anything, hosting the Super Bowl brings economic impact to the city by at least $300 million. In fact, the overall impact of this event held in Miami last year reached a whopping $467 million.

More than 100,000 people are expected to attend this event and NFL alone needs 18,000 hotel rooms just for its clientele.
