Design Review:? As the name suggested, the client wanted a badger as a mascot for his logo, and wanted to depict a dynamic feel to the logo, and this is what exactly we gave him. An abstract logo yet strong symbol of a badger was made, with swooshes around depicting the dynamic feel the client was after.

AKS-Invest “Investment Joint Stock Company Shipbuilders – follows the traditions of both famous design school shipbuilders. Three members of the company – design and construction of a batch of river and sea vehicles, confirmed by RF patents: amphibious craft, air cushion, Jetski for different applications: passenger, reefer, cargo, service and traveling and the cruise. By the development company owned by: sea boat on hydrofoils “Sokol”, four-seater with air-cushion landing gear.

Today AKS-Invest “- a design and manufacturing company, which incorporates design office and factory, production capacity, which is designed for the simultaneous construction of several types of serial shipbuilding products. Team AKS-Invest “has a high intellectual potential, established links with foreign and domestic partners, the company that provides sustainable economic status and image, as well as the opportunity to participate in the implementation of complex technical programs.

The AKS manufacturing logo design is a simple iconic logo that shows an abstract image of ship’s frontal view made up of only two shapes forming half the ship. The mind’s eye fills the other half giving the impression of a ship. This is quite clever and I quite like the idea behind the design.

On the website, you can see the logo has been updated to have a golden gradient effect to simulate a 3D logo design look. The website is quite terrible but I quite liked the various boats and amphibious vehicles that AKS manufactures.

The Aggregate construction logo design is a simple iconic logo that yet again has a triangular icon for an agricultural logo. This time the pyramid shape is intersected by a white horizontal stripe that turns upwards at a 45 degree angle. This makes the icon look a little like the letter “A”. The pyramid signifies strength and robustness – a hint a the kind of materials that the company services and the construction industry.

Aggregate Industries also has a UK construction office helping home builders and property builders. The font used for the word “Aggregate Industries” is quite a professional and straight faced one. There is nothing much to read into the font selection though.

Aggregate Industries is a member of the Green Builder Council. Aggregate Industries Northeast Region is Eastern Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire’s largest integrated producer of aggregate, asphalt, and ready mixed concrete.

Doran Consulting and Contracting is a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) consulting company. In a nutshell they help building owners/managers save money through more efficient building operations. Additionally, they are licensed construction supervisors, so they can actually implement the projects as well. Basically, a one stop shop for “green” building.

Target Market:
Anyone who owns property or is in a long term lease that would benefit from saving 30-60% a month in energy costs.

Design Review:
The client wanted to stand out with their identity and company logo right from the start. They wanted the identity and the look to be professional and more focused on the business aspect of the company (i.e. making customers more profitable my saving them money on energy costs) versus the environmental/save the planet side of things.

Our logo design team and logo designer researched this particular market segment and came up with ideas including the usage of the initials integrated, emblem based logo concepts to show strength, imagery to do with the construction industry and building material related icons. The client selected the creative initials concept and we refined it further to arrive at the final design.

Stationery Design for the client:
After the logo design was completed, we created an elegant stationery design concept for this consulting company including business card design, letterhead design and envelope design making up the corporate identity.

Website Design:
Finally we moved on to creating an awesome looking website design for Doran Consulting and Contracting company. The client wanted a simple, elegant and dark themed website that would create the right kind of impression online.

Project Summary: Pools Patios & Spas Inc. constructs and develops Custom Swimming Pools, Concrete or brick paved patios, custom spas, Water falls, Rock features, and remodeling. With creative designs and sturdy construction, Pools Patios & Spas Inc., comes up with stunning swimming pools and patios. They came to Logo Design Works to create a logo design that fit their company well.

Targeting Affluent Home owners, Builders, hotels, an condos, the logo needed to reflect the beach side and Caribbean look and feel. The client wanted the logo to be colorful – almost playful – and be warm and friendly.

The Logo Design team researched a little bit and realized that the competition were using outdated and quite mono colored kind of identities and saw an opportunity to set the client apart with a bright and fun logo design.

The final design selected by the client included line art images of a pool, a beach chair, a palm tree and the sun. With bright yellow, eco green and cool blue colors, the final logo design created the right kind of impact that the client was hoping for.

Logo Design Project Summary: HCI Homebuilder located in a high-end custom market wanted a simple yet powerful and strong logo design for their company. The company is based out of a small town in Colorado and they service anyone involved in construction, specifically Architects and homeowners.

Facing stiff local competition from companies such as Rasmussen Construction, Hansen Construction, Silich Construction and Iglehart Construction, HCI wanted an icon that would set them apart from the other companies in that area that had dated and quite complex logos that were hard to remember.

The client was quite keen on seeing Mt.sopris, Colorado and Aspen mountains (see Colorado Logo Design), as an icon. Our logo design team came up with a brilliant and simple line art of the aspen mountains and coupled with a solid looking font was able to achieve the desired look and feel.

AKIC is a Joint Venture between a Korean company Tagalder Korea (www.tagalderkr.com) and Dubai Based Group Bin Daen Group (www.bindaengroup) offering the services of the former in the joint venture Company.

AKIC targets Developers , Contractors , Marketing Consultants, Real Estate Companies & Businessman etc. Clients include Samsung Construction , LG , Hyundai , Koress, Deloitte etc.

AKIC was looking for a royal and elegant look that would appeal to the target market when approaching Government and Top Private companies in the region such as Haliburton etc.

Our Logo Design Team came up with 5 different concepts for this client. The concepts includes ideas on stylized iconic building using a series of lines, abstract symbols of buildings and a stylized skyline. The client selected the skyline as the final logo design concept and we went ahead fine tuning that concept.
