In the first Work/Life balance post we emphasized the importance of time management and embracing new technologies to improve the quality of your life. This time it is all about taking time to relax despite our busy schedules.
Unlike an office setting where there is a regular working period, being an entrepreneur requires you to be ready all the time. Our drive to excel in our chosen field most of the time can result in physical, mental, and emotional fatigue. Then our perspective gradually shifts for we see relaxation now as a luxury not as a necessity. In case you fit this description, it’s time to kick back and relax. Here are some tips:
Lifehack recommends that you make a list of what you must leave behind during vacations or relaxations such as:
Your laptop, your BlackBerry, your PDA, any paperwork from the office, any work-related reading matter. You must treat those as a recovering alcoholic should treat beer, wines, or spirits: absolutely forbidden!
Life Coach’s Blog says do not wait until you are dead to relax. Moreover, Great Bodies recommends that you think of relaxation as an investment.
