Ordering Our Service
Placing the Order: As a business owner or stake holder you have a lot of tasks and milestones before you launch your company. Creating a strong brand is on the top of such a list. After an initial search you come to our website and checked out our logo design portfolio and our affordable design packages. After a quick call to our sales department, if required, to clarify a couple of items, you place an order from our website which takes place on our secure order system.
Filling the Project Brief Questionnaire: At the end of the order process you are taken to our logo design questionnaire. This is an important step of the process and takes the place of the traditional meeting that takes place for requirements gathering. The logo questionnaire asks questions about your company, your service, your target market, the kind of messages you want to give out and a bunch of design preference questions such as your likes and dislikes, color preferences and more. If you have any mock up sketch or design, you can attach it to the form. Once you submit this form, the project gets initiated.
Project Initiation
Project Account: Once we receive the project questionnaire from you, a lead designer is assigned to your project. Your account is created on our online studio floor and your login details are emailed to you with in 48 hours of your order. The choice of the lead designer depends on the package you purchase and your company's market sector. Our designer experience ranges from 2 years to 10 years. Different lead designers are more experienced in certain market segments and we try to find the best match possible.
Design Team Assigned: Every logo design project comes with multiple designers creating the initial designs and the lead designer will pick the design team that most suits your company and market segment that you belong to. Again the experince of these designers depends on the package your purchase. The RUBY and DIAMOND packages get the cream of our design team with 8-10 years design experience.
Design Phase
Initial Design Ideas Created: Based on the input from the logo questionnaire you submit, our own research into your company, your product/service, your market segment and your competitors, our design team goes through several brainstorming sessions and creates the initial design concepts. To give you the benefit of the experience and skill of different designers, you will get 2 initial designs from each designer, for your review.
Designs Posted On Studio Floor: The initial design concepts are then posted on the online studio floor in 3-5 business days. You will get an email from the studio floor and you can then login to review the designs. These initial designs are presented in an easy to share format and you can forward them to your friends, associates or family members to get their opinions, votes or feedback.

Revision Rounds: Once you have reviewed the designs, you can then select one concept to move forward and request any changes or tweaks to be made on that design. Each time you ask for changes, we take one business day to get back to you. We post the revision on the studio floor and the process continues till you are 100% happy with the final design. Revision changes are small and relate to colors or the fonts or the layout of the various elements of the design etc.

Final Phase
Final Files Created: Once you are happy with the final logo design, we then create different file formats (including printer ready vector files AI and EPS as well as web ready files such as JPG, GIF, PNG, TIFF) and provide a link for you to download the files. These files will also be saved to our backup servers and will be provided to you via an email request any time in the future if you lose the files or your computer crashes etc.
Next Package Phase: If the package you purchased includes other design elements such as matching stationery design, brochure design or website design, then we move on to that design phase. Since the logo design sets the stage for the rest of your branding and determines the color palette and the look and feel of your brand, any other design phase can only be initiated after the logo is completed. If your package includes any printing, we will then give you the printing codes to our print portal and you can initial your printed business card etc and them shipped to your door.
Copyright Ownership Transfer: At the end of the project, we will transfer the copyright ownership of the final logo design to you. Other unselected concepts and design material remains the copyright and property of Logo Design Works. This does not mean that an official copyright or trademark will be applied with the US Govt. If you purchase our Copyright Registration package then we will apply for an official copyright with USPTO. A copyright, however, does not give the same kind of protection as a Trademark Registration - especially in the case of a company logo. We can advice/help you further if you would like to apply for a Trademark instead of a copyright.
