King Daddy, a clothing company, wanted a very hip looking cartoon character mascot for their brand campaign. They wanted their mascot character to be associated with the name "king". So initially we came up with some characters that included traditional king characters, a humorous character in a suit and a crown etc. The client finally settled on a character that was more modern and in line with their marketing and branding campaigns.

For this project we actually created 2 other complete king characters - from the pencil sketch phase to inking and digitizing phases. However, the client changed their mind at the end and decided not to take the other 2 characters.
