Design Analysis: HER or Husk Equity Resources is a brand that serves as a vehicle for strategic investments in the following sectors: Energy, Real Estate, Logistics, and Commodities Trading. With a tagline that says “Africa’s Trading Superway”, HER is all set to dominate the investment market and wanted an iconic logo that was simple and powerful.

After having expired some abstract design ideas, we decided that we should go for the simplest icon that directly communicated the brand’s aspiration and for that we chose the map of Africa with an arrow piercing to the heart of Africa – in an abstract way. We used the color of the Nigerian Flag and finished off the logo with an elegant and modern font choice.

The end result is a very familiar-looking logo that communicates the client’s brand message in a simple and direct way.

Chiashowl Investment Ltd. is an investment, stock/share and fine art brand dealing with trading stocks and fine art. Being an international brand and dealing with the luxury market meant that this brand required a premium look and feel.

The client wanted to broadcast a sense of trust and security in the logo because of the virtue of the kind of business they were dealing with. So we decided to create a crest like a symbol with a shield and a fleur-de-lis motif. The icon is flanked by a ribbon and a wreath to add additional layers of detail to the design.

The choice of the color palette also supports the drive to create a premium brand and brings on a regal feeling. The typography is also quite elegant and bolsters the elegance of the brand mark.
